SQL Server 2008 and AT 2.0

We have been using AT 2.0 for a year, with SQL Server 2005 as the back end. We need to move the database to a new server. When I move the database to a SQL Server 2008 server, I cannot connect. I get an error from the database connection that the server is not a SQL Server.
I have temporarily migrated to another SQL Server 2005 server, and everything is working fine. Is it possible to run AT 2.0 with a SQL Server 2008 back end?

Unfortunately since the development of the AT ceased in late 2009, we have not tested the Toolkit on SQL Server 2008.
