selected components transfer

I'm familiar with both the merge and transfer functions. However, it would be nice to be able to transfer selected components from one resource record to another. There are times when we identify several components (usually items in photograph collections) that were misplaced. Being able to select individual components or groupings of components, but not all components of a resource would be really helpful and useful.
