Reminder: Comments requested for AT / Archon HiLevel Requirements

Let me gently remind folks that comments on the high-level functional requirements for the planned integration of the Archivists’ Toolkit (AT) and Archon applications are asked to be submitted by November 23, 2009.

The AT/Archon requirements workbook identifying these functions is available at http://archiviststoolkit.org/node/141. The members of the archives integration team want to hear from individuals from the broader archives community and are particularly interested in hearing of any functional requirements that are deemed necessary but lacking from the distributed list of high-level requirements.

As we had mentioned in our October 30th message to the community, these high-level requirements reflect all the functionality already current or pending for both the AT and Archon applications. They do not reflect functionality beyond the current development plans for either application, as such functionality would exceed the resources and time frame available for the first phase of the integration project.

Please send your responses no later than Monday morning, November 23, to all of these addresses: bdwestbrook@ucsd.edu, prom@illinois.edu, and schwrtzs@uiuc.edu. You may also want to send your responses to the AT or Archon forums or more general lists so that others are also aware of your comments.

The archives integration team will start reviewing all responses beginning November 23 and will use them to modify the high-level requirements in preparation for two webinar sessions that will take place in early December.. The final modified list of requirements will then be shared back to the general archives community by the end of December or early January

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this integration project.
Sincerely,
