Importing EAD with Multiple Languages misses <langmaterial>

Summary: EAD import to AT misses multiple languages in EAD element

First time user, I am trying to prepare for import a legacy archive (Pilsudski Institute of America), some 10,000 records. Many files and fonds are in several languages. I am planning to convert the records to EAD. To test, I created a sample Fonds and File records in Archivists' Toolkit, exported and re-imported.

Importing subject terms

Is it possible to import subjects into the Archivist Toolkit, rather than enter them manually?
I am tempted to add our hundreds of corporate terms via MYSQL inserts into the subjects table but I don't know if that breaks the system.

Importing finding aid

I have a 98 page finding aid (not EAD encoded) in a Word document that I need to transfer into AT. Is there a way to do this other than copying and pasting each individual folder? Please help!

Help with importing "valid" ead

Hi

I am exploring the usage of the archivist's toolkit for our collection. But in order to do that, I will need to import the existing EADs. As far as I know, these are valid EADs but they would not import. I have read Chapter 6 of the user's manual, checking for possible errors but could not see why the EADs would not import.

I am attaching a very small EAD file (less than 7KB). Could someone please glance over the file and tell me what I need to fix to be able to import my EADs?

Thank you very much for your time.

Regards

Tien Doan
