selected components transfer

I'm familiar with both the merge and transfer functions. However, it would be nice to be able to transfer selected components from one resource record to another. There are times when we identify several components (usually items in photograph collections) that were misplaced. Being able to select individual components or groupings of components, but not all components of a resource would be really helpful and useful.

Wish list: hierarchical subjects

We would love to have the Subjects become hierarchical, so that our top level would consist of about 30 terms, and we could drill down to more specific terms.
Also, an easy way to import subject values would be a big plus for us.

Multiple Stylesheets Available

I apologize if this has been asked (and answered) elsewhere on the Forum or the list (I was not able to find anything about it), but one thing our institution would find very helpful is the ability to have multiple stylesheets rather than just the single "at_eadtoHTML.xsl." We have customized it a lot and really like it, but would find it even more helpful if we were able to choose between two or three different stylesheets.

Finding Aids (PDF)

In my archives, we still need to print out a physical finding aid for each collection. In the past, I could only print out the .html version. With the new update, I find the new PDF layout for the finding aid visually pleasing. However, I notice that when it comes to the container listing it can only show roughly 4 folders per page. The reason for this is because the finding aid has every item in each series / subseries stretched out. Is there a way to squeeze the content closer together? My 10 page finding aid is now about 36 pages.

Unicode font support (ThaI)

I briefly tried entering Thai terms into the AT sandbox, and got "blank squares," indicating that this font is not supported by AT. Is this right? Are there any plans to add unicode fonts such as Thai? Also, does anyone know of archive management software that does support Thai fonts? Thanks!

Internal Use only in Name Record

It would be nice if there was a non-required check box that allows you to hide the name from the finding aid, but allow you to use the name as an internal search in the Name Record field. We are not allowed to put the names of students up on the web without their permission due to FERPA rules.

accession error log

I recommend changing the accessions import error log to report out the accessionNumber of records not imported rather than the number of the record in the xml file. Makes it much easier to fix any problems. Thanks.

contact information in the finding aid

Have the HTML report include the repository institution, address and contact information as entered in the repository record. Entering the information as a multipart note is needlessly labor intensive, will be repeated, and I can't seem to find a way that will actually put it into the finding aid automatically. I don't see the point in having default values if they don't appear on the generated finding aid (and frankly, I shouldn't have to have separate software to adjust the output, not with something this simple).

Box range parsing

Apologies if this has been discussed before (or if it was shelved for complexity). One feature that would improve collections management functionality in the AT is box range parsing of instances during EAD import. In other words, if a component has a box range in EAD (e.g. 1-3, AT imports that range as a single instance (1-3) rather than three separate instances. Clicking on Manage Locations for example brings up an instance of 1-3. The problem is that there are three barcodes (and perhaps 3 locations) for those three boxes.
